Cindy Benezra
Cindy Benezra is the author of Under the Orange Blossoms and the founder of Cindy Talks. Through her book, her blog, and her speaking engagements, Cindy shares her story of trauma and healing to help others feel less alone. And her website is where that story begins for many people, so it needed to set the right tone.
The Problem
Cindy’s original site didn’t do her words justice. Instead of drawing readers in, it distracted and confused them. The design and navigation created friction, leaving her audience struggling to follow the thread of her message.

Here’s how I reshaped Cindy’s online presence to better serve her and her readers.
Discovery & Strategy
I began with questions, and lots of them! Cindy’s work is personal and sensitive, so I took the time to understand not just what she needed on a site, but how she wanted visitors to feel. I mapped out what wasn’t working and came up with a plan.
Web Development
I built a custom site with a more modern modular framework so it loads faster, meets accessibility standards, and can grow with Cindy over time. It’s made to last, not just for today, but for where her inspiring work is headed next.
Brand Transformation
I started with color. Cindy’s book, Under the Orange Blossoms, gave us a natural anchor: orange. Instead of pairing it with teal like the old website, I softened it with soothing sage hues that reflect the healing journey she guides others through.
Website Management
Because a website is never “done,” I continue to manage Cindy’s site day to day. That means uploading her blogs, refreshing pages, keeping everything secure on the backend, and adding new features whenever she needs them.
Web Design
I designed an uncluttered layout that guides visitors through her book, speaking services, and blog. Clean typography, thoughtful spacing, and intuitive navigation made the site easy to use and easy to trust.
